About Gerri
As I reflect on my values, while embracing my God-given talents, I have been able to discover my life’s purpose. That discovery only just happened for me when I re-entered college at Point University in August of 2015. For some of us and not all, it may take many years before we can see the revelation of what God has purposed for us in life.
A favorite quote
A quote that I have embraced while reading an article in the Huffington Post says, “Dreams have no age limit---Go for it!” I have committed to doing that very thing ever since. According to Don Clifton, in his book on StrengthsFinder’s, “Talents are like muscles. If you use them, they will help you achieve.” Therefore, I value my talents and assume responsibility for using them to develop my strengths.
During my quest, I have earned an Associate’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Point University. Point equips the students to take their faith into the marketplace and erase division in themselves and everyday activities to see life and mission as one. I have earned certification as a Certified Meeting and Event Planner from US Career Institute and also Certified Christian Life Coach/Certified HIScoach™ from the Nanette Patterson’s HIScoach Training Academy. I have had the opportunity and pleasure to direct and coordinate weddings and receptions for a number of years. It is my desire to combine and embrace the things I already know with the new strengths that I have obtained.

I am married to a remarkable man of God, and a no-nonsense kind of guy who is reflective, reserved, private, responsible and very dependable. We have raised three amazing children, a daughter, and two sons. My husband is very supportive of me in my ministry, and we work together to achieve a common goal. We have shared 50 plus years of marriage together and have years of advice and counseling to share with other couples desiring to journey up the road to marriage. He is an ordained Minister and Pastor, with an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies, and serves as a Chaplain in one of our Correctional institutions here in Metro Atlanta. Our combined credentials and talents along with our many years of experience in marriage is designed to help couples decide if this is the road they want to travel together for the rest of their lives.
