Rainy Day 4: Get a Tune-Up

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” “It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”  “Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.” “It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

(1 Corinthians 13:4-7) NIV

According to the information online at Cars.Com, the only things left from the traditional tune-up are new spark plugs and replacing the air filter periodically. Even so, some car owners still dutifully take their car in periodically to have it "tuned up."  The service technicians will inspect and perhaps test the fuel, ignition and emissions systems to look for faulty vacuum hoses, oxygen sensors and other parts that can hurt performance. Having your vehicle serviced and inspected periodically is a good way to extend its life. If you want to extend the life of your marriage, why not try doing things that would improve the relationship. Take each other out on a date sometimes, break the monotony and have a pillow fight sometimes, and if there are children include them too.  Sometimes it is good to bop one another over the heads to vent frustration. Always find time to plan vacations and do something adventurous. But most importantly of all, always continue to love one another, relish in the memories of how you felt when you first met and start enjoying each other again.
